This windshield wiper motor is correct for early production 1963 Corvettes. Early production 1963 Corvettes used a different design wiper motor than their predecessors. They early production motors did use the 5044518 end cap. The main case was commonly used on passenger car applications. These are easily identified by (1) the lack of a casting number and (2) a casting rib in place of a hollow “D” shaped opening in the uppermost mount bolt location.The main case was typical of passenger car production, and did not have the normal raised casting number. Round-head aluminum rivets in endcap, as original. (Some "restorers" use incorrect rivets or bolts.) Correct fasteners throughout. This wiper motor uses the one piece semi-transparent "Rochester" type valve, as original.
