Steel second worm gear used in 1953-1977 Speedometers and 1953-1958 Tachometers with rev counter.
GM serviced this part for many years in plastic. The steel gear will ensure longevity. The first worm gear, or magnet drives this gear.
The magnet is subject to similar wear. The magnet replacement requires special tools and calibration equipment! We can help to repair this issue!
