Dash Clusters Done Right: Complete C3, C2, and C1 Corvette Restoration

C1 Corvette Restoration

When you get behind the wheel of your Corvette, does your dash make you feel, well, “down?” Has your dash cluster begun to show the wear and tear of the years? Does it seem like your entire dash cluster needs sprucing up? That’s exactly the kind of thing we’ve helped with so many times since 1977. Here at CS of MD West, we can restore your dash cluster and, by extension, your Corvette. No matter whether you need a C3, C2, or C1 Corvette restoration, we’ve got you covered.

What Makes Our Dash Cluster Restoration Different

Restoring a dash cluster is unique work, in that it’s as much about science and mechanics as it is art. Yes, we can make sure that your instruments go through a proper mechanical restoration so that they function and perform exactly as they were intended, but we can also do a beautiful, cosmetic restoration, too. That way, your dash cluster performs as well as it looks. To ensure that you get the best work done possible, we do all of this in-house in our own facility. That way, we make sure that you receive exactly what you should.

C1 Corvette Restoration of Dash Clusters

We understand how challenging it can be to find the gauges you need for your 1953-1962 Corvette. The good news is: we can restore all of the gauges. So, if there’s a gauge from your C1 Corvette, we can restore it to its original performance, to ensure it works in the manner you desire. That said, we don’t restore the 1958-1962 painted housings.

What Our Dash Cluster Work Can Include

Every dash cluster/gauge is different, with different needs, concerns, and so forth. That said, no matter which part it is that we’re to restore, we always do the most thorough job possible. Case in point, if you need a 1963-1967 dash cluster restored, we perform a complete disassembly. Then, once everything is separated, we repaint the housing, inside and out, to ensure it looks its best. Once that’s done, we clean everything and test everything. That means calibrating the small gauges, repainting the pointers, and more. Indeed, we try to reuse the original parts as much as possible. We only replace them when we absolutely have to.

No Detail Too Small

Many of our classic Corvette customers come to us because they want to be able to drive their classic Corvette around at its peak performance. We can accommodate those owners. By that same token, we’re also able to help those who want to show their car at N. C. R. S. or Bloomington-type events. That could include (if they have a 1963 Corvette, for example) replacing the dash cluster lenses with new plastic lenses (just like the original). Of course, if you just want to drive it around, we can do so with glass, too.

More Than Dash Clusters

Dash clusters, tachometers, speedometers, and the like, are a major part of what we specialize in here at CS of MD West. However, it’s far from all that we offer. To see how we can help you and your classic corvette, give us a call or check out our site.
