“NOS Parts for the Correct Car”
That’s how we describe this NOS 1967-only ignition switch. It’s entirely brand new and original, just like it came out of the box in the late 60s. While we make parts that are exclusively for Corvettes, that doesn’t mean that every part which we come into possession of exclusively fits Corvettes. To that end, this part also fits some GM passenger cars, too. Our NOS parts don’t have the wear and tear that comes from being on the road for more than a half-century. Instead, they’re ready to provide plenty of years of service today.
NOS Parts that Haven’t Been Available from GM “In a While”
When we say that this part “hasn’t been available from GM in quite a while,” we mean it as an understatement. As of this writing, we have a NOS 1970-1972 Corvette wiper override switch in the original GM wrapper. We believe in offering as many top-quality Corvette parts as possible: whether they’re the biggest side exhaust covers with upper mouldings or a wiper override switch that was used to stop wiper arm travel at any point. We see it as one more way that we can help more Corvette owners to have the Corvette that they want.
NOS Gauges, Too
To be perfectly honest, there are some NOS parts we offer that actually have come out of the box for a brief period of time. An example of this would be the 1964 NOS speedometer we currently offer on our site. It has come out of the original box and it does have a few miles on it – all of them from testing. Before we offered this speedometer for sale, we wanted to test it in-shop to make sure it was as accurate as possible, that it was of the highest quality and functioned properly.
Reproduction, Repair, Rebuilding, and More
NOS parts can be great for your Corvette; helping it to perform as well as it ever did. That said, they (literally) aren’t making more NOS parts. That doesn’t mean that you should have to settle when it comes to your Corvette’s parts, however.
