Corvette Clock Repair and Parts Through the Ages

Corvette Clock Repair

Did the clock on your Corvette stop? Has it become worn, faded, or just flat out ceased to work as it should? Sure, in our modern day, you, in all likelihood, don’t need the clock in your Corvette to function to know what time it is. But, if you’re a completist, a true Corvette enthusiast like us, then you want your Corvette clock to operate at the same high level as the rest of your Corvette. Here at CS of MD West, we offer the very best in Corvette clock repair and much more.

Corvette Clock Repair 1963 – 1967

As you probably know, starting in 1963, Chevy’s Motor Division contracted with Borg Instruments to supply Corvette clocks. While these clocks were a true fit for the time, they used technology that had been around since the 30s (making it old in 1963). So, when we restore your clock, we can do so with the original mechanical mechanism or with a modern, advanced quartz movement. In fact, we recommend the latter to all owners, except those who will have their Corvette judged in a Bloomington or NCRS kind of event. The quart conversion is more reliable in day to day operation, and you won’t hear the original “ticking” either.

Repairing Corvette Clocks from 1968-1982

Just as with the clocks from the prior era, you can go for the mechanical mechanism or choose to have the quartz conversion. Just as before, we recommend the latter. For the repair of Corvette clocks from the years of 1968-1982, we’ll completely disassemble your clock, then thoroughly clean the face, repaint the pointers till they look exactly as they should, and then we get to replacing the mechanical movement or converting to quartz.

We Don’t Repair Corvette Clocks from 1953-1962, But…

We’d love to repair clocks from 1953-1962 Corvettes, but unfortunately, there just aren’t many repair parts available. However, that said, we do offer entirely new and high-functioning 1958-1962 Corvette reproduction parts. These are made to look and feel exactly as the originals did. No detail was spared or glossed over when it came to these, so it will seem like they appeared in your car straight from the late 50s/early 60s. Moreover, these will also include the quartz movement, so your clocks will be, quite literally, better than ever.

More Corvette Parts Available Than Just Repairing Clocks

Your clock is an important part of your Corvette’s dash, but it’s only one part of your Corvette’s dash. We can help to restore and/or repair so many of the other parts there as well: the tachometer, the speedometer, and so many others. Moreover, we’re far from limited to just repairing and restoring the parts inside your Corvette as well. If you go to our site, you’ll find any number of parts for just about every single area of your Corvette. To see all that we offer, head to our site. Or, we always love to help Corvette owners at (800) 638-6450.
